Physics with Optoelectronics BSc, 3 years’ acousto-optics research, University of Kent. 10 years Senior Academic (engineering), University of Central Lancashire. 30 years R&D experience.
Chemistry MChem (Hons) 1st Class, University of Manchester. 8 years’ analytical experience in GMP and GLP environments; industries include pharmaceutical, industrial and specialist chemicals.
Since graduating in 2014 has worked for a number of MPs as a Parliamentary Assistant, including a select committee chair. Has a strong interest in vaping and wider health policy
DR PETE GIBBONS
PhD Organic Chemistry from the University of Liverpool. 11 year career as Senior Research Scientist (drug discovery specialist) at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
Over 10 years’ experience advising policy makers,working with large global businesses, SMEs, and trade associations in Europe, Asia,& North America, including the UK’s leading independent vape businesses.
DR SIMONA MAZZA
PhD Chemistry (Catalysis), Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne. Currently Product Stewardship Manager at major UK e-liquid manufacturer, supporting development of innovative products.
Experience as PA at Executive and Boardroom level for well over 25 years. Also worked in public and private sectors. Assisted within Policy Department, in lobbying admin activities and arranging meetings with MPs and government agencies.
